Jacob Stein, Branch Director

Jacob started his career at the YMCA in 2011 as a part-time lifeguard at the Northwest branch after moving to Wichita from Southwest Kansas to finish his degree in Exercise Science at Wichita State University. During his career with the Y he has also taught swim lessons and worked at the Climbing Wall. In late 2012 he moved to the Membership Desk were he has worked under a multitude of titles until becoming Membership Director in May of 2015, Senior Program Director in April of 2018 and Branch Director in May of 2021.

Rachael Runda

Rachael Runda, Senior Program Director

Rachael graduated from WSU in 2015 with her Bachelors in Exercise Science. Her career at the YMCA began with an internship which then led to Personal Training for the North YMCA for over 4 years, and she is excited to now be the Senior Program Director at the Andover YMCA. Fitness has been a part of her everyday life, and she has enjoyed helping others make it a part of theirs as well. She says being able to witness the impact it makes on people physically, mentally and emotionally has been the greatest reward.

John Wiemer, Greater Wichita YMCA

John Wiemers, Sport Director

John has been the Sports Director for the Andover YMCA since January 2022. He has been an enthusiastic coach for the YMCA for many years and was even honored as the Coach of the Year for 2020! You can find John out on the turf fields or on the basketball courts supporting our youth sport programs.

Ally Kaylor, Greater Wichita YMCA

Ally Kaylor, Wellness Director

Ally is a Denver, Colorado native and holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas. Ally began at the Andover YMCA in 2014 as a Personal Trainer before accepting the position as Fitness Director in 2018 and then moving to Wellness Director in 2022. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA as well as a nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. She holds additional certifications including USAW Sports Performance Coach, TRX Group Trainer, and BOGAfit Instructor. Ally, and her husband Shawn, are the parents of two little boys, Bodie and CJ and three fur-babies, Gunner, Jax, Ella.

Shannon.Mallinson

Shannon Mallinson, Gymnastics Director

Shannon Mallinson has been a gymnast since age six. Since 1998, she’s coached gymnastics at the El Dorado and Northwest Ys and Sunrise Gymnastics. Before joining the Andover Y team, she had team members medal at local, state and national competitions. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Psychology from Wichita State University. She’s also received certifications in Personal Training, USAG Safety, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2.

Danni has dedicated over 15 years of her life to teaching at the YMCA, inspiring countless young minds. Her journey began in El Dorado, where she taught gymnastics, and later moved to the Andover YMCA in 2009. As the gymnastics coordinator, she has had the privilege of watching children grow and flourish. Danni's true passion lies in helping children unlock their full potential and achieve their goals, no matter how big or small. She finds immense joy in witnessing a child gain confidence and overcome their fears.

Upon moving to Salina, KS, the Salina Family YMCA truly set the foundation of my understanding of athletics. I chose the YMCA to give back to all of the youth that have filled the shoes, I was once in. When I am not working, I am playing pickleball at the Y, officiating sports, or spending time with my wife, Kori, and our Boston Terrier, Major.

Anna holds a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University. She began her career with the YMCA as a kid zone attendant at the East branch in 2023. She quickly became the daytime shift lead and started working in various youth & family programs including mom’s day out and parent’s night out before becoming the Youth & Family Coordinator for the Andover Branch in May of 2024. Anna and her husband Caleb are the parents to four daughters, Maggie, Saylor, Sadie, and Maizey.

Jenni Boyle

Jenni has been with the Y since 2004 and does both group exercise and personal training. She has an extensive background in exercise science with a long career as a registered nurse before she started personal training in 2015. Jenni works with a wide variety of people but enjoys to work with those that are new to fitness because she likes to help individuals tap into their true potential. Jenni’s specialties include strength training and bootcamps for all fitness levels.

Beyond the gym, Jacob stays engaged in the latest fitness research and community events, continuously refining his skills to deliver exceptional results. Cory has been in the fitness and nutrition industry for approximately 9 years with many specialties that range from Bodybuilding to Exercise Therapy. Cory’s passion is to help people change their lives in the simplest and most realistic way possible. Everyone deserves the rite to good health and to be happy with themselves inside and out and Cory is always there to support those on their way to good health even during the difficult times!

Jackie Silvia, Greater Wichita YMCA

Jackie Silvia

Jackie has been with the YMCA since 2007 as a group exercise instructor teaching many formats including Cycle, Muscle Pump, Zumba, Silver Sneakers and Yoga. Soon after she started teaching, she found a love for water exercise and the rest is history! Jackie teaches a variety of water fitness classes including classes in the lazy river. In 2015, she became a YMCA certified personal trainer where she continued to share her passion and knowledge of water exercise with one-on-one clients and private groups. 

“Using the water as an exercise tool helps my clients and members move better and safely without the fear of falling. I love working with our Boomer population as they teach me so much and bring laughter to my life.”

Cordell Neely, Greater Wichita YMCA

Cordell Neely

Cordell has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Kansas State University and had been a lifelong athlete. He developed a love for running when he was in college after he discovered new ways to discipline his body to reach his fitness and nutrition goals. That eventually led him to his passion for personal training and helping others. By day, Cordell is a KSDE Nutrition Program Consultant and by night, he is a personal trainer for the Andover YMCA.
