Presenting Speakers
Topic: Shakable but not Breakable: Building Resilience Through Physical, Cognitive, and Emotional Health
Dr. Catelin Kass, PT, DPT, CLT
About the Topic: Physical, cognitive, and emotional health each play a vital role in cancer survivorship, and true wellness emerges when all three are supported together. This presentation highlights how movement, mental engagement, and emotional resilience interact to boost energy, improve clarity, elevate mood, and promote sustainable, positive lifestyle habits.
About the Speaker: Dr. Catelin Kass is a dedicated physical therapist specializing in oncologic rehabilitation and lymphedema management. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Bellarmine University and earned her Oncologic Clinical Specialist designation following successful completion of the Oncologic Physical Therapy Residency Program with Duke University Health System. Dr. Kass is known for her compassionate approach, combining evidence-based practices with personalized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient. She is currently driving the entry level oncology curriculum for WSU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Topic: What Do You Do When Cancer Affects Your Memory?
Dr. Matt Bridgman, Ph.D., ABPP
About the Topic: Memory loss and other cognitive changes happen for many reasons after cancer and cancer treatments. The most effective steps to overcome those cognitive changes will vary from one person to the next. Thankfully it's not rocket science - you just need a clear roadmap. The CONS MAP and a bit of Mindful STREAMing may be the tools you have been missing.
About the Speaker: Dr. Matt Bridgman, a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology as well as a MD in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, he spent 14 years at Penn Highlands DuBois as a staff neuropsychologist. In 2024 he founded Clear Mind Coaching, LLC, a psychological and neuropsychological service for adults. He is author of The Clear Mind Journal - Memory, creator of The Clear Mind Circuit and The CONS MAP.
Movement Activities: We have a variety of activities planned throughout the day, with something for everyone to enjoy.
