The Greater Wichita YMCA has the region's largest, most -diverse camp program. We offer 10 weeks (Monday, June 1, 2020 through Thursday, August 6, 2020) of nearly-endless adventures and opportunities to try new things, expand awaiting kids ages 4-16 (ages ranges vary by camp type). Our trained staff offers a safe, fun, comfortable environment where kids can be themselves and enjoy learning, playing, exploring, and socializing through a mixture of activities designed to keep campers active and engaged all summer.
Enrollment is open now and you can register through Monday, July 27, 2020 (NOTE you must register by 10PM the Monday before you plan to attend). You can register for camp on our website (membership is not required, a website account is) or at any of our ten branch locations in Andover, El Dorado, Newton, and Wichita but you must complete Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) forms ONLINE prior to any registration.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER FOR CAMP?
Camp registration opened on Monday, February 10, 2020. Registration/enrollment was (due to COVID-19 concerns) paused on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 but resumed on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Registration will continue through Monday, July 27, 2020 (for week eleven) and/or as we run out of available slots. We offer registration on our website and at any branch location. WHAT IS THE STATUS OF SUMMER CAMP / EXISTING REGISTRATIONS?
We resumed summer camp enrollment on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 and all existing registrations will be honored, as appropriate. We have shifted and modified some camp offerings and have contacted parents/guardians of impacted campers BY EMAIL to explain options and support modifying registrations. If you need assistance please contact our CAMP ACCOUNTS team.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE Y TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMPS?
No. All of our Summer Camp programs are open to the entire community. Please note that members will save on camp. Children who are part of a FAMILY MEMBERSHIP will save $20/camper/week and income-based financial assistance (IBFA) including reduced- and no-cost camp access is available to those who qualify. HOW MUCH DOES CAMP COST?
Costs will vary based on camp type and membership status for the camper's family. Income-based financial assistance can also lower costs.
HOW MUCH IS DUE AT ENROLLMENT?
Enrollment costs, unless otherwise indicated, are $15/CAMPER for a ONE-TIME (per season) enrollment fee that includes a camp t-shirt. You must then pay all deposits ($15/week, unless otherwise indicated) at the time of enrollment, too. Balances are due by 10PM the Monday BEFORE camp starts. Our Summer Camps are open to all area children - regardless of Y membership status. That said, we offer savings of $20/camper/week to campers included in a Greater Wichita YMCA FAMILY Membership. To ensure every child can have a summer of adventure and discovery, we do offer reduced- and no-cost access to our camp programs to those who qualify.
