Family Water Parks in Wichita
The Greater Wichita YMCA water parks open Memorial Day weekend each year. Located at our North, South, Northwest, and Andover branches, the outdoor water parks feature slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and splash areas for kids. All water parks are included with your YMCA membership, with guest passes available for non-members.

Greater Wichita YMCA Water Parks Open on May 23, 2026!
Getting kids to go outside and play is usually a good idea, but in the heat of summer, the fun can be short lived. That’s why the outdoor water parks at the Wichita YMCA are the perfect solution. Not only do the parks have fun features like waterslides and a wave pool, but they are included with your Y membership. What if your kids want to bring friends? No problem – just sign up for guest passes.
Whether you prefer the up and down action of a wave pool, or just like to float and relax in a lazy river, our outdoor water parks have something for everyone. With spray and splash grounds for the little ones and thrilling water slides for the more adventurous, your kids will enjoy hours of fun in the sun. Best of all, water park access is included with your membership.

Membership & Guest Passes
- Members enjoy unlimited access to our water parks and all of our indoor pools for no additional cost.
- Outdoor Water Parks have specific usage policies that must be observed by all. Must be 18 years or older to purchase, valid photo ID required. Pass active for 24 hours after purchase. No refunds. Read more on our policies page.
- Guest Passes ($10/Person, 2 and under are free) are available for community participants.

Live Drills: Live drills are an essential part of our YMCA Lifeguard training. The pool may be cleared for our lifeguards to preform a drill at anytime. You will be asked to exit the pool area temporarily and will be notified of when you can re-enter the pool. We appreciate your cooperation and partnership in keeping our pools safe.
Toddler Time at the Waterpark
Avoid the crowd as you splash and play with your youngster during this special time at one of the Y's four outdoor water parks.
Ages 6 and under, must be accompanied by a parent at all times. Toddler time is free for Y members.

Andover Y Water Park Cabana Rentals
- Monday-Friday: $70/time slot for members and $90 for non-members.
- Time slots: 1-3pm, 3-5pm, 5-7pm
- Saturday-Sunday: $90/time slot for members and $110 for non-members.
- Time slots: 1-3:30pm, 4-6:30pm
- 1 hour 45 minute rental times available.
- *Hourly rental does not include guest passes to enter the water park.
- Includes four lounge chairs, two eight-foot tables, six folding chairs, and two yard games.

The North YMCA is home to one of the Greater Wichita YMCA's four water parks, included with your membership. Recreational and lap swimming are available year-round, so you can make a full day of it or just cool off between workouts.

Water Park Access Starts With Membership
Your membership covers all four outdoor water parks: North, South, Northwest, and Andover, plus year-round access to indoor pools, group fitness classes, sports programs, and more. Memberships are available for individuals, couples, and families, and financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Guests can purchase a pass at any branch on the day of their visit, and it can be used for that location during regular hours. Contact your nearest branch or check at the front desk for information.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the YMCA water park hours?
Outdoor water parks are open May 25 – September 7, 2026.
From May 25 to August 8, hours are Monday–Friday, 1:00–7:00 pm, and Saturday–Sunday, 1:00–6:30 pm. From August 1 to September 7, they are open weekends only. From June 1 to August 8, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm are Toddler Time.
Do I need a membership?
Water park access is included with your YMCA membership with no extra fees. Just show up and enjoy your visit. Bringing friends or family who aren't members yet? Guest passes are $10 per person, and kids 2 and under are always free.
Are there lifeguards?
All YMCA pools are staffed by certified lifeguards, so you can focus on enjoying your swim. Lifeguards train regularly with live drills, which may temporarily clear the pool. We will let you know when it is safe to re-enter.
