The Greater Wichita YMCA has been a proud part of our community since our establishment in 1885. Over the last 135 years we've grown, evolved, and changed to meet the ever-changing needs of our neighbors. Through wars, recessions, catastrophes, and hardships - as well as joy and growth - we've always focused on three areas:
- Youth Development
- Healthy Living
- Social Responsibility
Today the Greater Wichita YMCA offers ten branch locations in Andover, El Dorado, Newton, and throughout Wichita - and hundreds of activities and programs that combine educational, social, and physical activities that bring people together to share time through similar interests - regardless of ability to pay. We serve Butler, Harvey, and Sedgwick counties and all of south central Kansas.
While perhaps best-known for our fitness facilities and programs, our real focus is on community building and service. We serve 300,000+ children, families, and individuals annually through low- and no-cost programs, partnerships, community initiatives, income-based rates, and financial assistance for those who qualify. We can only do those things through the generosity of donations to our "Strong Community Fund" - which is funded through our Annual Campaign.
While no donation is too big or too small, we offer a variety of contributor levels with various incentives for donors:
- $5,000+ ($1,666+/year) over a three-year commitment
