INCOME-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FAQ

Have questions about income-based financial assistance (IBFA)? These are the answers to some of our most common inquiries.

How do I know if I qualify for income-based financial assistance (IBFA)?

Our Fee Calculator will approximate qualification/discount level for fees (membership and/or programs). Actual qualification requires the submission for a formal application (Membership and/or Child Care and Camp - see forms for submission instructions). Additional information may be requested.

Are there additional resources if I still can't afford membership or program fees?

If you find our fees to be a hardship - speak with any Branch Director. They can direct you to additional resources and/or financial support. Additional support, beyond IBFA discounts, is not guaranteed and cannot be extended to all people in all situations.

I have lost a significant amount of income or my job - what can I do about my fees?

The loss of income is incredibly stressful and access to physical and social activities may be more important than ever for those impacted by the loss. We proudly offer immediate access to IBFA support for those who have seen a reduction in income and a FREE, three-momth "bridge" memberships to all active members who lose their jobs, upon approval. To discuss qualification please speak with the Membership Staff at any branch or call 316.219.YMCA (316.219.9622) and ask to speak with our Member Account Support team.

Still have questions? Speak with the Membership Director or Branch Director at any locationcontact our Child Care and Camp staff (child care and camp programs), visit our FAQ page, use our online Contact Us form, or call 316.219.YMCA (316.219.9622) and ask to speak with our member support team.
